In the summer of 1897, W.G. Collingwood travelled around Iceland on his "Pilgrimage to the Saga-Steads of Iceland", painting around 300 paintings of the ancient historical scenes.
In the summers of 2007-09, photographer Einar Falur Ingólfsson traced Collingwood´s footsteps with his camera, capturing the same sceneries from the same angles.
